She was a woman with a passion for exploring the remotest nooks and crannies of the planet, and her newest adventure saw her headed for the Arctic. After sailing from Christchurch to the edge of the Antarctic and crossing the frozen Amundsen Sea, she finally reached the glacier. While she had already visited the Antarctic, this time was different. In the Arctic, the light was different. The sun appeared after months of total darkness, becoming lost in the ice and passing of time. The vastness of the place made her feel completely alone in the world, yet also deeply connected to the very essence of the Earth. She was a witness to the raw and unbowed beauty of a place that so few people had the privilege to visit. There, the silence was overwhelming, and the vastness seemed to never end.
