LIDIA TRYING ON MANTO SANDALS ON HER RIGHT FOOT AND ON HER LEFT FOOT COCORO SHOES FROM 2015.

CONVERSATION BETWEEN GABRIELA AND LIDIA IN THE NAGUISA STUDIO.

We have the immense honor of launching a series of meetings with fantastic women who have chosen Naguisa as their faithful companion along the way. And the first on stage is the wonderful Lidia Peret, who we met at a market back in 2013.

Lidia not only got her first pair of Naguisa at that market, but also decided to become part of our big family. Since that day, her Naguisa's have been the confidants of unforgettable adventures and unique moments.

These talks promise, above all, real stories of women who have created a unique and special relationship with their Naguisa. So join us on this exciting journey with Lidia.

SOME OF THE OLD MODELS THAT HAVE ACCOMPANIED LIDIA.

LIDIA WITH HER "PI" SANDALS MADE ON 2019, SURVIVORS OF AN UNEXPECTED DOWNPOUR.

How did you know Naguisa and what was your first impression of the brand?

Now I do not remember if it was in the Design Room of Resa Raval or in the Chic and Basic del Born... And it was through my friend Gaby Pujol of Le Fortune, who told me about Naguisa and told me that I would love their shoes. And so it was, I fell in love at first sight.

What meaning does Naguisa have for you beyond shoes?

Their way of understanding the design and craftsmanship of the shoes with the use of natural materials such as jute. They are shoes with designs that can remind you of shoes from other eras, I love that mix of years and designs with the current era. And its great comfort, they adapt to the shape of the foot, with soft and natural materials. They are not modern shoes, they are contemporary shoes, forever.

Do you identify with the values of the Naguisa brand?

Totally, I am pro-sustainability and I always try that all my purchases are sustainable, proximity brands, as artisan as possible, with original designs, unique and at the same time comfortable. Brands like Le Fortune/Gaby Pujol, Royal Caballito, I Feel Nut, Numon, Andrea Viêntec, Cerámicas Les Mans... Among many others ...., And I am very conscious in all the consumption I do. For example, I am a member of the first Cooperative Supermarket in Spain, Food Coop, which has been operating for more than a year here in Barcelona.

What makes you keep buying Naguisa shoes after so long?

What I told you before, the design, the comfort and also they don't go out of fashion or get damaged if you take good care of them, as in everything.

SOME OF LIDIA'S TREASURES

Do you remember a special moment when you wore your Naguisa?

They accompany me very often in all my significant moments. Birthdays, concerts, weddings, trips, everyday life.... I always have a Naguisa model for every occasion and they save me from many moments. I remember that for my 50th anniversary I was on my way to the restaurant on the beach and I was wearing my sandals, it started raining cats and dogs! As on that occasion they were flat sandals with jute soles, I took them off my shoes, so they wouldn't get wet. When I went inside, I put them on again.

What is your favorite model from the new collection?

Well, you make it very difficult for me! I don't know, since the shoes with wooden soles that you made in the beginning, I've been buying many models with jute soles, and from the new collection? I like them all! but as I can't keep them all, I always make a selection of flat shoes with little wedge and little heel, which for me are the most comfortable. And above all that, have something that makes them more special. Although sometimes I have been left with the desire for a model, especially at the beginning, they only made up to number 40. Now for a few years now they manufacture up to number 41. Much better. I have the 40-41. It depends on the model.

Have you shared your love for Naguisa shoes with your friends or family?

Always, from day one. I have friends who have also bought Naguisa.
