LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT
Although the dress typically gets most of the attention, for a bride, the shoes matter, too. On your special day, you want to be able to dance, jump, and spend hours on your feet with nothing stopping you.
In the search for a pair of cute, comfortable shoes for your big day, some of you end up picking espadrilles or braided sandals from Naguisa. For us, there’s no better compliment than the fact that you choose us to be part of such a meaningful day!
Many of you tag us in your photos or write to us to tell us how comfortable you felt in your Naguisas. When you share that excitement with our team, it lets us know that we’re on the right track.
In August, something very special arrived in our inbox. Pilar and Almudena sent an email sharing some memories from one of the happiest, most important days of their lives.
Along with some beautiful photos, Pilar told us about her connection with Naguisa and what went into her decision:
“I bought my first pair of Naguisas in Menorca 3 years ago. I’d already bookmarked them on the website, but I liked the idea of trying them on in person. They were a pair of eggplant-colored Uga sandals. Now, counting the sandals from my wedding, I have 3 pairs of sandals and a pair of gorgeous boots that I wore constantly last winter. Sure, they’re beautiful, but they’re also the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn. It’s amazing that when I put them on for a special occasion (or even just to make any day a bit more special) I never have to worry about what the day may have in store. OK, I admit it... I’m completely in love with the brand. There was no doubt in my mind that I'd be married in a pair of Naguisas (in fact, if you check your emails you’ll find quite a few from me, asking about the new collection, dreaming up color combinations for a personalized pair…).”
Pilar’s words, like the messages we get from so many of you, mean a lot to us. They’re a huge part of what motivates us, year after year, to keep expanding our collections with more comfortable designs. Behind each pair of sandals are countless journeys in search of the right materials, many hours in the workshop, and plenty of testing with different lasts (and feet!) before finally settling on a design that fits well and feels great.
But without a doubt, receiving your lovely messages is the most rewarding part of the whole process.
