Sea. Desert. Volcanic Lands.
The Naguisa Spring Summer 2017 "Taro" Collection is inspired by Lanzarote, one of the Canary Islands. In December 2015 Pablo and Claudia took a trip to the island to rest and to search for new inspiration for their next collection. In the local dialect of Lanzarote, taros are natural enclosures formed in the lava fields, which served as corrals for cattle or shelters for shepherds. The colours of the Lanzarote landscape are captured in the Spring Summer 2017 Naguisa collection. Black, earthy peach, petroleum green and a touch of pale yellow can be found in the colour palette of the “Taro” collection.
The stars of the Spring Summer 2017 Naguisa collection are the braided-jute soles in toast brown and the new addition of braided jute dyed black. The double jute sole with which Naguisa developed its first models four years ago has evolved, incorporating a small 5 cm wedge to give the sole greater comfort and durability. Following the success of the evolution of Naguisa’s “Soc” seven-ribbon model with a runner sole, a wide range of spring shades has been developed for Spring Summer 2017. Naguisa’s capsule collection of interwoven leather shoes with eyelets has grown from three to seven models, including a new 9 cm shape. Dualcoloured braids are another novelty in this latest collection.
