We always talk about Menorca as our second home. For us, the island is a place of development, calm and connection with nature. It is also a place full of childhood memories, love stories and moments that we will never forget. As fans of this beautiful island, we want to share with you some of the most special spots for us. Take note! Some recommendations include a little bit of the history of our founders.

Hat designer, mother, entrepreneur and culinary enthusiast, Bea Birdsong is many things, including the great woman behind the counter at Maxine, a beautiful shop in Lido Marina Village, Newport Beach. From her colorful store and with her magical looks, Bea takes us on a journey, through her Instagram account, to a dream world where every night there are parties full of celebrities and rock concerts. Today, she opens the door to Maxine and tells us more about her wonderful project.

This summer we celebrate the brand's tenth anniversary and, as the culmination of a series of events that we have been organizing throughout the season, on July 8 and 9, we decided to open the doors of our new studio-workshop and invite all our clients and friends to blow out candles with the team.

The espadrille has become the perfect shoe to wear every day, from May to October, thanks to its comfort and versatility. Its vulcanized jute soles are suitable for sand, asphalt and grass. Depending on their design, they are also suitable for going to work, riding a bike or getting ready for an event. There is no more versatile and all-terrain shoe!

New Agrarian SS19 collection

Menorca is our second home. The place we chose a few years ago to open our first store is also a paradise for relaxation and enjoyment. Kilometers of beaches, idyllic sunsets and towns full of magical nooks and crannies inspire our collections and make us always want time to stand still.

One of our favourite discoveries last year was María Laspiur’s Instagram account. Between illustrations, beautiful photos and floral-inspired accessories, we fell in love with her project and didn’t hesitate to write to her to find out more about her and see how we could start a collaboration. From that “love at first sight” came Concha, Pez, Flotador and Ostra. A collection of charismatic accessories perfect for this summer.

Pressing flowers began in the West in the late 16th century, after trade opened up with Japan. There, Oshibana, the art of arranging flattened dried flowers into ornate compositions on paper, had been part of the culture for centuries. Over time, the technique made its way to the West, where people began making scrapbooks using botanicals they collected at home or on vacation.

Each of Naguisa's collections is inspired by strong and fearless women. The search for materials, heel heights and some of the details of each design are designed to win over those women who do not want to give up either style or comfort.

After spending a few months designing the future 2015 collection in our Barcelona workshop, we travelled to Alicante where we worked with the factory and suppliers in the area to present the new models.

Francisca Pageo is a visual artist from Murcia who we have been following for some time at Naguisa.

If you close your eyes over a comforting cup of coffee, Baldomero is that house facing the sea, surrounded by tall pine trees, built in the 1920s. Renovated and expanded over the years, but still preserving its modest staircase, its wooden moldings and its vast charm.

At Naguisa, we strive to create shoes that not only stand the test of time, but actually get better with it. That's why we advocate using top-quality natural materials such as 100% vegetable tanned leather, free of chromium and other toxic metals. Being a natural process, the final color of the leather may vary slightly in tone and darkness depending on the mix of materials used in the process. It's also nice to see the imperfections that are left exposed, such as organic marks acquired on the skin during the animal's life, such as scars or insect bites.

She, still with her mind set on the summer days that now seemed a little wasted, found herself inexperienced before that thickness of different shades of green.

With this collection we escape from the city and the everyday. We enter Nature and make the crackling of the forest leaves our soundtrack. Because, although this dream only lasts for a season, we all need a little change of scenery to reconnect us with our roots, and “La Cabaña” gives us that opportunity. Will you join us?

After a period of physical and mental changes, we have begun a journey towards well-being through time and self-care. In this search, in which to learn and rediscover ourselves, we met Daniela Aguirre and her project Wisdom of Qara, a natural cosmetics brand that combines the ancestral power of nature with meticulous formulas that restore vitality to our skin.

We have been following Nahia's work and her Hiruki store for years. From the coastal town of Lekeitio, in the Basque Country, Nahia selects brands that are committed to sustainability, responsible consumption and that promote ethical production methods. It is easy to share Nahia's passion for seeking beauty, attention to detail and the social character behind a well-designed product.

Just like your skin needs nourishment (and lots of water), your lips also need nutrients to stay healthy and beautiful. Their skin is thinner and, as it doesn't produce moisture, they need moisturizing agents to protect them and provide nutrients. UV rays from the sun and heat (as well as cold weather) can damage and dry them out.

This year, our bodies (and minds too) were asking us to surround ourselves with bright colours. Our reference folder was filled with splendour and saturation, while PEZ was taking shape.

Classics always endure. Some symbols of traditional culture have managed to become part of the fashion landscape. Whether for their comfort, versatility or their reminiscences, the SOC ribbon espadrille model has established itself as one of our best sellers.

The change of season also brings with it a change of wardrobe. When spring begins to appear, it is necessary to start putting away the woollen jumpers and taking out the linen dresses. The same happens with footwear. Leather boots end up relegated to the back of the shoe rack and are replaced by jute sandals and espadrilles.

No matter who you ask, San Sebastian is a city full of temptations that leave their mark. Whether for its wild nature, its architecture or its gastronomy, Donostia, as the city is known in Basque, is one of the Naguisa team's favourite destinations for a getaway.

Splash! We close our eyes and we're inside Dizzy Summer. It's sunny, it smells of salt, we have some sand stuck to our bodies and we're wearing colourful clothes and accessories that, together with that carefree feeling and the happiness of being close to the sea, make us radiate light. That's the image that comes to mind every time we think about the collection of earrings and belts that María R. Laspiur has designed for PEZ S/S22.

Winter is fading away before us: the hours of sunlight are getting longer and the temperatures are rising. It is no longer necessary to carry around layers of heavy, warm clothing that weighs down our bodies. From now on, with each passing moment, we will feel the natural urge to shed our wrappings.

The arrival of each new collection tells us that some seasonal change is about to happen. The appearance of sandals and espadrilles on our website seems to go hand in hand with the increase in hours of sunshine. This extension brings with it a surge of vitality and colour.

Together with Carola Alexandre and her store Ivori, we have traced a history of joint learning, friendship and new goals. In 2012 Carola raised the shutters of her cozy store in the Barcelona neighborhood of Born. Among garments designed by her and others from local brands, our first collection of shoes appeared.

Visits to this city always seem too short. Even if we plan ahead for the millions of places we want to go, time always gets shorter and new discoveries multiply. Madrid is almost a universe within a universe. It may be full of monuments and full of history, but somehow, it continues to evolve with time. This city offers contemporaneity while preserving its classics.
