SARTORIA VICO X NAGUISA: AN EXPLOSION OF COLOR

This year, our bodies (and minds too) were asking us to surround ourselves with bright colours. Our reference folder was filled with splendour and saturation, while PEZ was taking shape.

By chance, while we were working on this new collection, a colorful spark in terracotta tones appeared on our screen. There was Sartoria Vico , a brand that we instantly fell in love with. Just by looking into it a little, we discovered that we had a lot in common, we both designed for the same ideal of woman: you.

Through Elisa, the founder of Me Studio , our showroom in Milan, we got in touch with Cristina and Stefania, its founders. Two women behind a project that, like Naguisa, promotes the value of craftsmanship and the know-how of those who have been mastering a trade for generations.

With a pandemic in the middle and thanks to the now indispensable video calls, we started a collaboration with Cristina and Stefania that would see the light of day within the Spring-Summer 2022 collection.

We invited Sartoria Vico to design an espadrille and they opened the doors of their workshop to bring a colorful knitted combination to life. For several months we immersed ourselves in the challenge of, for the first time, designing a piece of clothing while guiding Cristina and Stefania in the process of creating a shoe.

The experience left us with two vibrant colour palettes captured in jute espadrilles and a knitted top and trousers set that can be purchased from April 12 through naguisa.com and sartoriavico.it
