xiana cobo x naguisa
This limited edition was born from the admiration for Xiana Cobo 's work. The delicacy of her embroidery and prints, following artisanal techniques, opened the door to this collaboration that we believe is perfect for giving as a gift or for yourself. Following the idea of sharing joys, emotions and also accessories between mothers and daughters, Xiana designed for us a printed cotton scarf and DOM espadrilles, using the ancestral technique of block printing.
About this collaboration. A message from Xiana Cobo :
This collaboration has been very exciting because of the challenge it has represented for me. It was about creating something new in which both universes (Xiana + Naguisa) would meet.
The footwear called for something organic and/or abstract, however I am very fond of working with figuration so leaving this comfortable space for me, at first, was not easy but finally, and after many turns and tests, I couldn't be happier with the result.
Naguisa’s “Origin” is transit, fading light, the last heat of the afternoon, salt water, sand and sea. Earth and sky.
Visualizing a sunset, the colors slowly changing. An endless repetition that is never the same. A succession of moments that overlap.
In this printing process, the block is always the same. The pressure, amount of paint, superposition and placement are never the same. Furthermore, recovering this ancestral technique for this collection called “Origin” makes perfect sense.
