RITA: A COLLABORATION BETWEEN RITA ROW & NAGUISA

Last April, we challenged our friends Xènia and Imma from Rita Row via Instagram to design a braided shoe for the new ORIGEN SS21 collection. From that camaraderie in times of uncertainty, RITA was born, a braided leather design, which is the result of the affection and admiration that both brands have been processing for years.

Both Xènia and Imma, as well as us (Claudia and Pablo) started out on the fashion path at the same time. Both brands opted to design for a modern, free woman with a sensitivity to appreciate the little things. That is why we both also put our projects into reactivating local productions and restoring the value of tradition, quality and design.

The Rita model brings back that strength. Designed for an active woman who doesn't want to give up comfort or elegance, Rita outlines a silhouette with a vintage essence, thanks to its closed 'shovel' in braided leather and its rounded heel.

The design process for this model was peculiar: after Claudia challenged Xènia and Imma, they both started working on sketches of possible lasts, searching for materials, heights and heel shapes through video calls and stories.
