Maria Yelletisch x Naguisa

Maria Yelletisch is a Catalan artist who was born in Barcelona in June 1987. She studied Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona and completed a Master's in Art Therapy at the Pompeu Fabra University. She currently lives in Madrid, where she has her own painting studio.
The collaboration between Naguisa and Maria Yelletisch was born from the artist's passion for shoes. It was very easy and natural since both Naguisa and Maria have a very similar aesthetic; the colors, the textures and the search for new proposals is something that unites them.
The idea began by transferring the stripes, such a characteristic element of the artist's work, to Naguisa's ribbons, a classic in the collections. The result was spectacular, a work of art made into a shoe.
The second step came with the colour combination, for which María was inspired by the shades and ranges of some of her favourite artists. Soc Miro was born from the combination of two of the primary colours, cyan and yellow. Soc Chillida, from the classic and perfect combination of black and ecru. Soc Rothko from the forbidden but at the same time incredible bet on pink and red. And finally, Soc Menta, which comes from the artist's passion for this colour.
Here are four colorful proposals that make the Naguisa Veleta Spring-Summer 2018 collection unique and unrepeatable.
