DIALOGUES WITH NOEMÍ INIESTA – ALBLANC ATELIER

NOEMÍ PREPARING THE NAGUISA BOUQUETS IN HER ATELIER

Today we celebrate Mother's Day , a very special date to pay tribute to the most important women in our lives. And this year, at Naguisa, we wanted to do something really special, proposing a collaboration with floral designer Noemí Iniesta, creator of Alblanc Atelier . At Alblanc they designed some exclusive bouquets for Naguisa that we included in the orders. A detail for all those women who take care of us every day.

After a period in Belgium, Noemí decided to return to her roots and found her own studio in 2017. Since then, she has wanted to put her personal stamp on each of her works, highlighting the importance of the relationship between the flower and its immediate context.

Today Noemí opens the doors of the Atelier to talk to us about how to combine motherhood with entrepreneurship , her passion for nature and how to find space for yourself. Join us on this floral journey and discover everything Noemí has to tell us!

NOEMÍ SELECTING FLOWERS TO CREATE A BOUQUET

What led you to start the Alblanc project?

After years of working in front of the computer for countless hours a day, I began to feel like I was short of breath. I had a vital need to do things with my hands, to touch, to smell. To integrate the senses into my daily life and feel alive. Alblanc emerged naturally from that need to connect with myself. Nature helped me achieve this.

Could you tell us more about how you made the jump from graphic design to the world of flowers?

A little bit of what I was saying before. I worked in an agency specializing in branding. I had been working day after day in front of a computer for 10 years, following instructions from creative directors who didn't feel very comfortable, with other people's ideas and a long etcetera that made me gradually disconnect from my identity. In the end I felt suffocated and very unhappy.

At home we have always lived in the world of flowers and I started helping my mother without any pretensions. Without realizing it, my thoughts were always on Alblanc and not on other professional projects . And so I decided to focus on what is now my professional project and also my life project.

RAMOS ALBLANC FOR NAGUISA WITH THE NERANE NATURAL ESPADRILLES

You own a beautiful and busy floral atelier and are also a first-time mother. How do you find a way to prioritize and balance everything?

I am still looking for the formula to reconcile and balance our lives. Having a good team to whom I can delegate is helping me infinitely to be able to concentrate on organizing both projects, family and professional, in the best possible way.

The interior design of your flower shop and workshop has become emblematic. Do you feel that this is a natural inspiration for your work?

I firmly believe that our environment either limits us or stimulates us. I am very affected by not feeling well in a space, so it was very important to create a space where you feel good, at peace and at ease. Its textures, shapes and objects respond to this need.

I remember the process with some anguish, renovations are not easy and often the most technical professionals do not speak your language. But the result was even better than what I had imagined in my head.

Besides floral art, is there any ritual/hobby that you have or have incorporated into your routine to stay connected to yourself?

Just as I need to live close to nature, I also need to have water around me. Whether it's a lake, a river, the sea or a bathtub. When I'm really tired, I need my "spa" time in the form of a walk or a long bath.

Is there any advice you would give to other women who are considering starting or running their own businesses?

There are a lot of corny speeches about pursuing our dreams. But the reality is that the world outside of a salaried job is difficult, even with a well thought-out and planned project. My advice is to dream with your feet on the ground and talk to anyone who can contribute knowledge and vision to your project. Not comparing yourself is also important.
