UNEXPECTED SANDALS TUTORIAL

https://naguisa.com/es/106-alpargatas

As they say, accidents happen. And nothing is more annoying than wearing new sandals and having them rub against you or having something happen to your favourite espadrilles. To solve these problems or prevent them from happening, we have created a care guide for your Naguisa for the summer :

(CASE 1) MY ESPADRILLES ARE WET

(Case 1)

Help, my espadrilles got wet! Don't panic.

Jute, due to its porous nature, absorbs water easily, which can deform the sole and cause the fibers to rot. If the sole has gotten a little wet, you can dry your Naguisa with something we all have at home: a hair dryer . This will help evaporate the moisture without damaging the fiber. Avoid the temptation to dry them in the sun, because it can alter the color of the leather.

(CASE 2) WINE IN MY SANDALS

(2.1) APPLY TALCUM ON THE STAIN

(2.2) RUB WITH A WET CLOTH WITH NEUTRAL SOAP

(Case 2)

I spilled wine on my sandals.

Don't let anything ruin your celebration. If your Naguisa gets stained with wine, try applying talcum powder to the stain as soon as possible. Let the powder absorb the moisture and then gently wipe it off. Then, moisten a clean cloth with water and neutral soap and rub lightly on the stain. Let it air dry.

(CASE 3) LOOSE THREAD

(3.1) CUT THE THREAD

(3.2) HIDE IT WITH A NEEDLE

(Case 3)

Oops! A thread has come loose on my espadrilles

This is very easy to fix, just cut the thread with scissors or a thread cutter. If you don't dare to cut it, you can put it back in with the help of a needle. They will look like nothing happened.

(CASE 4) MY SANDALS HURT ME

(Case 4)

My new sandals hurt me

The first few days you wear sandals, even if they're not new, your feet can feel the effects. With the heat, your feet swell a little and after a whole winter protected by socks and closed shoes, the straps of your sandals are likely to cause some chafing. To avoid this, apply moisturising cream to the area of the sandal that rubs against your skin. Anti-chafing sticks also work wonders!

(CASE 5) MY ESPADRILLES HAVE UNRATED

(Case 5)

Help, my espadrilles have come unstitched!

Our espadrilles are a hand-sewn artisanal product, and sometimes they may have a small defect and come unstitched. If your Naguisa are new and have come unstitched, send them to us and we will repair them in our Sant Just Studio Workshop. Are they Naguisa from a few summers ago? In that case, your trusted shoemaker can help you make them look like new.
