A teacher of Therapeutic Pedagogy in a public school, Cristina has managed to balance her educational vocation with her entrepreneurial spirit. Founder of Girly Girl Magazine and the gastronomic blog O lo comes o lo dejas , Cristina has become an influential voice in fashion and gastronomy . Today, we are proud to have her as one of Naguisa's most loyal customers , and we take this opportunity to discover her passion for our brand and how it accompanies her in her daily life.
Do you remember how you first heard about Naguisa and what your first impression of the brand was?
Of course, I discovered the brand while researching Made in Spain footwear for an article in Girly Girl Magazine. We wanted to give visibility to different, more sustainable and soulful projects . From the beginning, I saw that it was a project that was very aligned with me.
Do you identify with Naguisa's values?
A lot. I started to change my relationship with clothes and my way of consuming some time ago. I try to support smaller projects, with people behind them who tell a story, beyond selling products. I like that Naguisa produces in Spain, that it is responsible with the social environment, that it produces quality and timeless footwear. I don't want shoes to be used for one season and thrown away, I like that next year (and the year after that and the year after that...), when I change my wardrobe, I take them out of their box and still feel the same excitement of always having them in my closet .
What makes you continue wearing Naguisa shoes after so much time?
First of all, they are comfortable . Right now I need shoes that are not only pretty and made of good materials, but that I can wear all day long, walking around Madrid without my feet hurting. And of course, they have to be durable… and beautiful .
What is the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Naguisa's winter collection?
The first thing that comes to mind is that it is almost impossible to choose just one model. I am in love with the shades of the new collection, the earth tones, the pale blues… In the end I chose the Hale because I needed a black Mercedita as a wardrobe staple and these have a touch that makes a basic something much more special.
Do you remember any special moment when your Naguisa accompanied you?
Of course! My first black braided Naguisa shoes that I wore to my friend Ana's wedding in Asturias. I remember it because it was the first wedding where I didn't have to change my shoes and I danced until the end. I think it was the day I said goodbye to impossible heels once and for all.
What is your favourite model? And from the new collection?
I think my favorite model is the “ Paix ” from last season. I have them in Lima and every time I put them on I can’t stop looking at my feet , ha, ha, ha.
Have you shared your love for Naguisa shoes with your friends or family?
If by this we mean that my friends have also fallen in love with the brand , then absolutely yes. Oh, and my sister too!
