Monica knows what “Mala” feels like inside a pair of silk feet.

That afternoon the sun was visibly shining. The task was pressing on every corner of our studio in San Just Desvern. The doorbell rang. Her energetic “hello!” powerfully caught my attention. My head tilted slowly to confirm an unusual, frankly beautiful presence. Monica remained standing, very close to her mother, who was accompanying her on this stifling July 15th on the mission of choosing the perfect sandal for her friend Sara’s wedding.
I approach them and my eyes go straight to entangle themselves in their ankles; their legs are an impeccable suit to show off any of our shoes . Monica chooses the “ Mala ” model by Naguisa for the fortunate day of the wedding. It suits her impeccably. “ Lucky moment when she took the step of buying some Naguisa” , I thought. A capable mischievous, cheerful and elegant creature. How can so much vitality and such lovely taste be concentrated in such a delicate lineage.
Monica tells me that she is a stage actress, that her life is pure theatre. How life likes to remind us how lucky we are to be able to continue playing like children, in this surprising wheel of fortune. Fortune and magic, that scorching Monday went hand in hand. In case you didn't know, I am incapable of repressing myself and even less of stopping living something that I feel screaming from my chest. My voice launches out:
Monica, do you want to wear our VALL capsule collection on your feet?
As if the wedding day had been brought forward weeks and was going to be celebrated at our headquarters in Naguisa, Monica told us a resounding and vibrant “Yes, I DO”.
When I asked Monica, after a memorable photo shoot with him, how she felt with Naguisa, she answered:
“A family of beautiful people. As a story from the “Book of Hugs” said, it is a bit of a stretch to say that we are “one” and not that we are many. In fact, it could be that we are both things at the same time. One, and many wrapped in a single skin.
Thank you, because this is the most magical thing that can happen to us.”
