For me, summer is about putting on my BEMOLs. Twelve summers ago, I was living in Madrid and half a year ago my friend Carola had opened a shop in Barcelona with a selection of local brands. One day, she showed me a pair of yellow espadrilles that caught my attention instantly. With a nostalgic air, reminding me of those rubber sandals that I had been so happy with in my childhood, those espadrilles were my gateway to the Naguisa universe.

María Collado had always dreamed of a wedding that reflected her essence and love for nature. On November 4th, that dream came true in the bucolic town of Treceño, Cantabria, surrounded by mountains, valleys and the fresh scent of the forest. With her practical spirit and her connection to craftsmanship, Maria knew that her wedding would be anything but conventional. Rejecting the idea of ​​traditional heels, she was looking for something that would complement her unique style and passion for handmade items. In her mind, it was clear: ankle boots would be her choice for hiking in the mountains on her big day.

Every autumn, at Naguisa we embark on an adventure that goes beyond shoe design. Claudia and Pablo call the team together to immerse themselves in 'A Piece of Naguisa', an event that has already become an unmissable tradition in our calendar. This year, for one morning, we decided to swap the computers and prototypes of the next collection for wax and wicks.
