A SHORT GETAWAY TO MADRID WITH NAGUISA

Visits to this city always seem too short. Even if we plan ahead for the millions of places we want to go, time always gets shorter and new discoveries multiply.
Madrid is almost a universe within a universe. It may be full of monuments and steeped in history, but somehow it continues to evolve over time. This city offers contemporaneity while preserving its classics. Perhaps it is this union of tradition and innovation that has us so in love with it and makes us return with some regularity.
Today we suggest a tour of some of our favorite places in this short 12-hour guide to Madrid.
Shopping in Rughara
As soon as we get off the AVE we run to Rughara , one of our favorite stores.
Run by Vanesa, joy and energy personified, here, in addition to our collections, you can find a careful selection of national and international brands.
Vanesa has trusted Naguisa for years and it was the first store in the capital to open its doors to us.

Lunch at The Traveler
At this point in the day, and after trying on countless shoes and dresses, hunger is pressing. Despite being a “tourist” cliché, we cannot leave Madrid without first enjoying a good tortilla and a calamari sandwich.
El Viajero is one of those places that never disappoints. Unpretentious food in the heart of the Latina neighborhood.
The Traveler - Pl. de la Cebada, 11

Coffee in Pastora
The moment of 'sobremesa' is sacred. A specialty coffee at Pastora while we organize this afternoon's appointments, and since we are nearby, a small 'souvenir' from Quesería Cultivo for the return trip.
Obviously, it is impossible to leave this café without 'sinning' in its deli-shop with some natural wine.

Visit to Silvia Ferpal
Taking advantage of the proximity, we moved a few blocks away to greet the artist and designer Silvia Ferpal in her studio.
A pleasant place, which was formerly a haberdashery, where Silvia welcomes us among some of the Risografias for sale on her website.
You can read the interview we did with Silvia here .

Household goods in fact
After finishing all the tasks that had brought us to Madrid on this occasion, we return to the starting point to discover one of the recently opened shops in the city.
Hecho is a showroom of household goods designed by the best national and international brands and designers.
In addition, the space is home to several of the city's most cutting-edge architecture and interior design studios. It's impossible to leave empty-handed!
Done - Olavide Square (C/Quesada, 2)
We return to our studio-workshop with the typical nostalgia of those who know that they leave many things to do in a city that offers infinite possibilities, and at the same time, anxious to mark the next getaway on the calendar. We look forward to seeing you!
