Carolina defines herself as a curious woman, always in search of knowledge, with an eclectic personality and a positive and joyful spirit. Her love for work and her passion for connecting with people led her to embark on this exciting adventure.

Last year, Naguisa celebrated its 10th anniversary in a special way. To commemorate this significant occasion, we decided to organize a shoe competition open to everyone. Among all the participants, Benita's design, created by Ana Lubiano, emerged as the winner. Benita perfectly combined craftsmanship and innovation, two fundamental values ​​that have represented Naguisa over the last 10 years. On a jute sole, a modern espadrille silhouette rose.

In 2022, we set in motion a new chapter in the Naguisa journey: we launched BAMBA, our first all-round sneaker. But we didn’t want to create just any old sneaker. We were determined to design something that was truly Naguisa at its core; a design that reflected our philosophy and carried with it details that identified it with our beloved classics.

We have the immense honour of launching a series of meetings with fantastic women who have chosen Naguisa as their faithful companion on the journey. And the first on stage is the wonderful Lidia Peret, whom we met at a market back in 2013. At Naguisa, we have always had a special affection for Seville, a love that is amplified by people like Lorena and Manuel and their store, Isadora. Since 2006, Lorena has imbued Isadora with her passionate spirit and her commitment to quality and careful production, transforming it into a space for true celebration of design.

Her love for the art of embroidery is palpable in every stitch. A designer by trade, Loly Ghirardi uses her talent to create works that are not only visually beautiful, but also tell stories. Skilled in various embroidery techniques, Loly experiments with tools, elements, colors and textures to bring her ideas to life and infuse each piece with her personal touch.

Working on the embroidery collection has opened up a range of wonderful sewing processes for us. Today we bring you a very easy and simple tutorial to personalize any item of clothing with buttons. The technique is quite simple and in this case, we bring you a very simple design that consists of drawing the design of a flower or a leaf on the button with thread, using different colors to create contrast and give depth to the details.

Today we celebrate Mother's Day, a very special date to pay tribute to the most important women in our lives. And this year, at Naguisa, we wanted to do something really special, proposing a collaboration with floral designer Noemí Iniesta, creator of Alblanc Atelier.

Projects such as Musasenflor, promoted by young, independent and creative entrepreneurs, serve to give visibility to the constant struggle for women's rights.

On its own, a single filament is not much. But when several fibers are twisted together to form a thread, and that thread is joined together with several other strands to form a rope, that weak strand becomes strong, functional and flexible, thus becoming an object of great versatility.

These shoes are my basic means of transport for all my adventures outside the home. In summer, my espadrilles accompany me along the shores and sandbanks, and in winter, it is my leather ankle boots that transport me through meadows and cobblestone paths.

Caterina Pérez was born in Sant Cugat, Spain, in 1978. After studying drama at the Instituto del Teatro, she decided to train in the world of fashion. Since then, she has been linked to the world of textiles and image, creating her own accessories brand, designing costumes and working as a stylist and art director on photography projects. Caterina has now opened her own sewing school, La Vora, in Sant Cugat, where she shares her passion for fashion and sewing with her students.

On February 18th and 19th we presented the new SS17 Taro collection in our studio workshop in very good company.

We want to share with you the wonderful experience we have been having since we presented our first Fashion Film last summer. It was a very fun and colorful adventure! The short was written and directed by Núria Tolós, who is already part of the Naguisa family, and stars Jennifer Bucovineanu and Darya Avtukh. The story, titled "DIZZY SUMMER", tells of a summer getaway among friends in which friendship, empathy and Naguisa's shoes play a key role in a fun and imaginative plot.

From their cozy shop, Mireia and Cristina select European brands that focus on local productions, that are led by women and that promote ethical production methods. Jeans, like espadrilles, are part of that traditional wardrobe originally designed for work. Neither of the two pieces were originally intended for street fashion and, coincidentally, both have become recurring in our looks and essential in our wardrobes.
