Summer ends are always refreshing

As soon as the days of dipping in the sea and wearing espadrilles are over, we happily look forward to wear our Chelsea boots and trench coats. This season comes with a certain sense of melancholy as well, when days get shorter and cloudier. It is during this time, right before when leaves start to get an orange glow, fall, and crack under our new chunky boots; when we pack a blanket and picnic cloth and go out looking forward to enjoy these days in between seasons.

This longed-for period between the hottest days and the cold season inspires a folk vibe in us; making us combine linen, plaid patterns and high leather boots, everything’s ok these days! We get out our favorite cardigan in case it gets chilly, we fill our thermos bottle with coffee and get down to the park or get up on the mountain to enjoy the last rays of sun. The truth is that we resist to wave the summer goodbye, and all its holiday imagery, but at the same time we think that we will be more elegantly dressed in autumn and that comforts us.

These days in between seasons, colors change from blue tones to orange hues at the light of the sunset. Our elaborated palette also includes other colors and textures: auburn, terracotta and burgundy colors and other autumn hues of the likes of brown and earthy green. Shoe laces are making a come back and socks pop out from half-open booties, the stars of the season.

Resting together on a checkered blanket, let’s still reminisce the -yet not so distant- days of holidays; enjoying the sunset while we start organizing our wardrobes for the coming season.
