READING CLUB: Everything I need already exists in me
New book in our Reading Club.
After enjoying Irene Solà's bucolic stories, this month we suggest you dive into 'Everything I Need Already Exists in Me' . An intimate book that addresses violence, feminism, trauma, loss and self-love through the emotion-filled poems of Rupi Kaur.

Rupi Kaur's third book of poems, Home Body — translated into Spanish as 'Everything I need already exists in me' by Elvira Sastre—, captures some of the themes for which she became known with her previous works ( 'The Sun and its Flowers' and 'Other Ways to Use your Mouth' ): violence, feminism, heartbreak, rape, anxiety, stress, insecurity and self-love, but from a personal perspective in which she narrates how she has dealt in recent years with depression, success and the pressure she has been under.
This sensitive and empathetic narration is accompanied by a direct and raw tone, and as is common in his work, the use of lowercase letters, inspired by traditional Sikh scriptures, the community from which he comes and whose struggle also inspires his work.
To close a book whose delicacy is made visible from the cover, a series of illustrations made by Kaur herself accompany each poem.
We invite you to read this book and share your reading by uploading a photo of the book on your Instagram profile and tagging us, or by writing to us at info@naguisa.com and sharing your impressions of it with us.
