A WALK AROUND A CORUÑA
The cold does not stop our desire to consume art, try local cuisine and discover new cities.
This winter we travelled to A Coruña with the intention of visiting the workshop of the ceramist Verónica Moar , and in the process, we took the opportunity to stroll through a magical city that offers surprises at every step. Join us in this mini guide to A Coruña!
STUDY BY VERONICA MOAR.
Our visit was short, but thanks to tips from friends and Verónica herself, we discovered a city full of culture and far from stereotypes. We began the tour in her studio, chatting with her about her projects and experiences (we invite you to read the interview we did with her here ) .
After a pleasant conversation surrounded by beautiful ceramics, we walked towards the Ensanche district . From the Praza de Lugo, we were amazed by the modernist buildings that surround the food market.
ARDORA EXHIBITION AT THE VILASECO GALLERY.
CASTROSEIS, FURNITURE AND ACCESSORIES DESIGN STORE.
We continued our route with a mandatory stop at the Vilaseco Gallery . There we enjoyed the Ardora exhibition by Gloria García Lorca, inspired by the bioluminescence phenomenon called Mar de Ardora, by which the sea water shines in the dark with the breaking of the waves. We also discovered the 12 Miradas project , a program that aims to promote creativity in the field of visual arts, design and architecture.
We left the gallery and came across Castroseis, a beautiful designer furniture and accessories store that we completely fell in love with. On the same street, we took the opportunity to go into Candela Calzados , where you can find your favorite NAGUISA.
WACO COFFEE.
After this first stage, our bodies were asking for some energy, so we went into the old town, in search of some “peixe e viño en cunquiña”. After a few stops to sample the local cuisine, we ended up licking our lips at Taberna Benboa with an 'octopus hot dog'.
As expected, the rain surprised us and we had to take shelter in the shelter of Waco , a small specialty coffee shop with its own roaster.

THE BROWN KAUS ARE PERFECT FOR WINTER CLIMATES.
Between the rain and the few hours of daylight due to it being winter, the sunset surprised us on a relaxed walk from A Praia de Riazor to Praia do Ozán . So we decided to end this short route, enjoying the views of the Atlantic Ocean from our improvised viewing point.
After this brief visit, we are sure that we will return, so we invite you to share special places in this city with us.
