A SHORT GETAWAY TO MENORCA

We always talk about Menorca as our second home. For us, the island is a place of development, calm and connection with nature. It is also a place full of childhood memories, love stories and moments that we will never forget.

As fans of this beautiful island, we want to share with you some of the most special spots for us. Take note! Some recommendations include a little bit of the history of our founders.

First stop: gather strength

Whether you come by sea or air, we are sure that you will arrive hungry. So we suggest you choose a terrace with beautiful views, take a seat and relax while the breeze and the north wind welcome you. In the meantime, take the opportunity to plan a route through paradisiacal coves and enjoy a toast with Maón cheese or sobrasada. We recommend that you gather strength to set out for a walk through this paradise :)

Our first stop is always Fornells, wandering through its streets reminds us of beautiful moments. Claudia's childhood with her family, Claudia and Pablo's wedding in the ruins of San Antonio Castle or summers with little Lola and Olivia.

First dip

After visiting the town, it's time to take the car (or motorbike) and go in search of the first dip. Cavalleria beach is our first objective. Its crystal-clear waters, its reddish and fine sand, its calm and shallow coves and the absence of coverage make it the perfect destination for a morning of rest and relaxation.

Lunch in Ciutadella

We encourage you to wander around the city and if you arrive at midday and haven't succumbed to the restaurants that offer Caldereta, we suggest an even better option. Rels is one of our favourite places to savour Balearic cuisine. In addition, its somewhat hidden terrace will make you forget about tourism and feel like a local.

Very close to Reels you will find the Naguisa store. A space that you surely already recognize from our newsletters and photos on social media. Here, in addition to espadrilles and sandals, you can find clothing and accessories from other brands with which we share values. We invite you to come in and say hello to Francisca and Lorena!

Souvenir time

You will remember many things from this trip, but it is always advisable to take something home so you can enjoy it for a longer time. Although its beaches will remain in your memory, our recommendation is that before returning home, you take a walk around the city, visit its market and let yourself be conquered by its sweets. Take some food souvenirs such as an ensaimada and a bottle of Xoriguer, and the return home will be a little less difficult.

Before saying goodbye

It's time to say goodbye, but not before taking one last dip. There is perhaps nothing more idyllic than swimming as the sun sets on a lonely beach. We recommend you go a little further away and drive to Cala Turqueta or Platja de Binicodrell to enjoy one last dip in this paradise.

It's time to go home, but we're sure that tomorrow, while you're having ensaimada for breakfast, you'll start looking at your calendar and planning a new getaway to Menorca. We'll be waiting for you here!
