A PIECE OF NAGUISA: A CANDLE TO LIGHT A WISH

Every autumn, at Naguisa we embark on an adventure that goes beyond shoe design. Claudia and Pablo call the team together to immerse themselves in ' Un Pedazo de Naguisa ', an event that has already become an unmissable tradition in our calendar. This year, for one morning, we decided to swap the computers and prototypes of the next collection for wax and wicks.

With the help of Margarita , a craftswoman with an innate talent, our studio was transformed into a space for experimentation. The challenge: to create handmade candles.

Rather than opting for the conventional, we chose pure beeswax, a material that evokes our dedication to the natural and the authentic. And for the wick, a touch of our essence: jute thread, the same one we use to sew our espadrilles. Thus, each candle became a small tribute to our craftsmanship.

The scent of beeswax filled the studio, bringing with it an air of calm and concentration. As we molded the candles, conversations flowed, interspersed with laughter and anecdotes. It was fascinating to see how hands, accustomed to spending all day typing, deftly adapted to these new tasks.

Margarita, with her skill and patience, guided us through each step, showing us how to shape our creativity in a whole new way. Around the table, we found ourselves sharing more than an activity: we were sharing our passion for the handmade.

' Un Pedazo de Naguisa ' represents for us much more than an annual event; it is an invitation to reconnect with our roots and with each member of our team. It is a moment to leave aside daily routines and immerse ourselves in the essence of what we are as a brand and as a community. ' Un Pedazo de Naguisa ' is an opportunity to reconnect, to grow and to continue building together this wonderful adventure that is Naguisa.
